Launched back in 2001, The Candie's Foundation was founded by Neil Cole for the purpose of educating teenagers about the risks and consequences of teenage pregnancy.
Millions of teens heard the messages from the celebrities working on behalf of The Candie's Foundation. Neil Cole and Foundation spokesman Bristol Palin generated a national Dialogue on teen pregnancy.
Rather than being a grant-making foundation The Candie's Foundation was an operating foundation whose aim was using media and celebrities to raise awareness and influence millions of teens about the perils and dangers of teen pregnancy.
It is about preventing teen pregnancy. Children need and deserve parents who are emotionally and financially stable. There is nothing ideological about that. Just ask a teen mom.”
